Welcome

So today, MCAREL launches its shiny new Squarespace website. The old one didn’t get much traffic, and most of our engagement as a company is via word of mouth anyway. But I wanted to expand our horizons and try a bit of Digital Marketing at the same time. We’re still focusing on Guidewire services, but Guidewire’s shift to the cloud and the use of Open Source in the integration space present an opportunity to expand our business beyond the scope of Guidewire services while still leveraging our considerable track record in the Insurance Space.

In terms of services, the main change for us is a move into the training space. Despite having spent a year working directly with the Guidewire Education department (which has an impressive library of courses covering everything insurance suite), we’re not allowed to train on Insurance Suite, Insurance Now etc. But we can train on open-source products like Apache Camel and Kafka, which are making their way into the Guidewire toolbox. We can also help customers prepare end-user training for Insurance Suite and Digital implementations.

In addition to the training, we’re planning to set up a discord service where interested parties can chat about Enterprise Software, Guidewire in particular, and Integration Technologies. Hopefully, we can start a little community of our own

To build the site, we used Square Space. It’s so easy to build a site that looks good using this software. I’ve used WordPress and Wix in the past, and those have worked well, but I thought I’d try Square Space, and so far, the experience has been good.
